A COLOMBIAN COMPANY DEDICATED TO PROMOTING COLOMBIAN CULTURE.
Tukui comes from the language of the Ye’kuana people, also known as the Makiritare, an Indigenous nation from the forests and rivers of northern South America.
For them, Tukui means hummingbird: a small yet powerful being, admired for its beauty, speed, and precision.
We chose this name as a tribute to the biodiversity of our territory, home to more than 220 species of hummingbirds, and to the deep cultural memory of Latin America. Across many Indigenous worldviews, the hummingbird is more than a bird: it is a symbol of movement, resilience, light, and renewal.
At Tukui, we are inspired by its vibrant flight and by its essential role as a pollinator, carrying life from flower to flower and helping sustain the balance of entire ecosystems.
In that same spirit, our brand exists to carry beauty, color, and meaning into everyday life. Each piece we create is a tribute to nature, to ancestral heritage, and to the living cultures that continue to shape who we are.
